Wedding Stationery Terms & Conditions

The Jasmine Cottage Studio reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.  All orders are subject to the following terms and conditions set out here.


All quotes are valid for 14 days from date of issue after which time, a new quote may be required therefore resulting in a potential price change.  This will be at the discretion of The Jasmine Cottage Studio.


Design, Colour & Getting Started

The Jasmine Cottage Studio can provide you with existing designs from its stationery collection or alternatively, you can have bespoke, personalised stationery created for you to suit your wedding day theme.  In order for The Jasmine Cottage Studio to create a custom or use a licensed design, you are encouraged to provide ideas and examples of what you are looking for, or alternatively meet with The Jasmine Cottage Studio for a one-to-one consultation (location of client dependent).  If a face to face consultation is not possible, a Zoom video call can take place as an alternative.  

The Jasmine Cottage Studio, under copyright law, is unable to copy and reproduce any designs submitted to them and neither you, or a third party cannot copy or reproduce any existing designs, which have either been designed by or licensed to, The Jasmine Cottage Studio.  Should you wish The Jasmine Cottage Studio to undertake your wedding stationery, a 25% non-refundable up-front payment is required (please see Payments & Ordering for further details).

Once your design process is underway, digital PDF proofs will be submitted to you.  Please note the colours you see on screen will look different to those within the printed version.  In contrast any samples submitted to those received within the completed order may also vary, as colour variation can occur between each print run.  These will either be printed in house or through the use of an external supplier depending on quantity of the order and the card finish chosen.

Table plans, belly bands and envelope liners, as well as other large format printed elements (A2+) will be printed on another printer, using an external supplier where applicable and so colour and card / surface finishes will be different to your standard stationery supplied.


Payments & Ordering

A minimum order quantity of 30 applies to individual save the date cards, wedding invitations including day & evening, details / information cards, RSVP cards, belly bands / tags, place / name cards, order of service and menus and a minimum of 4 applies to table numbers / names.  For a complete wedding invitation suite, the minimum order quantity is 30 and for belly bands 30.

Should you require less than the minimum order quantity stated within these conditions or you find that additional stationery is required upon receipt of your printed order, please contact The Jasmine Cottage Studio for prices.  These additional / special quantities will be subject to a higher price listed to those given within your initial proposal and / or those stated within the requested price list.

To secure the booking of your wedding stationery, a 25% non-refundable up-front payment of your entire order is required.  This can either be paid via cheque or bank transfer.  Details of these payment methods will be enclosed within your invoice.  This payment is for design work to be carried out along with the submission of card and envelope samples (please see Proofs & Processing for more details).  The final 75% balance will be required to be paid in full prior to the print and dispatch of your stationery items.


Proofs & Processing

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all information submitted they wish to have included as part of their wedding stationery is correct in order to keep the number of amendments to a minimum.  However, an unlimited amount of digital PDF amendments is included within the creation of your wedding stationery along with a collection of card samples and envelopes in order for you to choose the finish you are looking for your stationery.  Should you receive a hard proof copy of any stationery elements to include pre-wedding and post-wedding stationery, a minimum charge of £25 plus postage will be required for each element.  Please contact The Jasmine Cottage Studio for a quotation. Large format stationery elements such as, but not limited, to table plan and welcome signs would be much higher in cost and so the client will therefore receive digital PDF versions for approval only unless otherwise requested.  Should there be a request for additional items for approval, as well as a request for excluded items, a cost will be incurred to the client.  For more information about these additional costs, please contact The Jasmine Cottage Studio.

You, as the client, are fully responsible to check each digital PDF proof of each stationery item as part of your order and are required to complete the ‘Wedding Stationery Approval Form’.  As part of your approval process, you are required to check the following:

·    Design and layout

·    Artwork and colour

·    Spelling and grammar

·    Dates and times

·    Personal details

·    Venue address & contact details

The Jasmine Cottage Studio will endeavor to the check the above, however once proofs have been approved by you, you are granting The Jasmine Cottage Studio permission to proceed in processing your order and taking it to print.

Should errors be found by you on receipt of your order, The Jasmine Cottage Studio will not take responsibility for these errors and will not be liable for any free of charge replacements.  If replacements are required, these will be charged in full and a 100% payment would be required prior to print and dispatch.

Upon reviewing your digital proof and you find that you would like to make any amendments, please state these on your ‘Wedding Stationery Approval Form’, which will be emailed to you.  Please complete and return this to The Jasmine Cottage Studio.  

Envelope samples will also be included, as well as cardstock examples and so it is the responsibility of the client to label, which cardstock finish and envelope they would like as part of their finished order where applicable.  Once the approval form has been submitted with their choices, these cannot be altered.

Upon approval and the final payment has been received, please allow up to 3 weeks for your order to be delivered to you.  This will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked Delivery and / or Parcelforce, where a signature will be required.  Delivery charges vary depending on the size and items included as part of your order.

The Jasmine Cottage Studio requests for all guest information for “on the day” stationery to be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding date.  This includes, but not limited to, order of events, place names, table numbers / names and table plans.  The Jasmine Cottage Studio will not be held responsible if the client does not keep to the appropriate timeline and therefore will risk in not receiving their stationery in time for their wedding day.  However, please contact The Jasmine Cottage Studio directly should this timeframe be difficult for you and so will advise on the best course of action.

In the event of last-minute changes due to guest alterations for table plans for example, please allow where possible, 4 to 6 weeks for design amendments, approval and delivery.  The Jasmine Cottage Studio will not be held responsible if the client does not keep to the appropriate timeline and therefore will risk in not receiving their stationery in time for their wedding day.  If you find you are experiencing time constraints due to guest changes, please contact The Jasmine Cottage Studio directly who will help where possible and advise on the best course action.


Cancellations, Refunds & No Receipt of Payment

In the event that you wish to cancel your order prior to, or after, approval and the final balance has not been received, the 25% non-refundable deposit will be retained by The Jasmine Cottage Studio.  This should not be seen as a penalty but as a fee for all the work delivered to the client up until this stage, as all wedding stationery produced would be tailored to you.

Should you wish to cancel your order once final approval and payment has been received, only 50% of the final balance of the order will be issued.

In the event that the final payment should not be received by the client, The Jasmine Cottage Studio will not be required to provide any further wedding stationery services to yourselves and so will retain the 25% non-refundable deposit.  This should not be seen as a penalty but as a fee for all the work delivered thus far.
